French Speed Specialist Must Write Off Winter

The upcoming winter in the women's Alpine Ski World Cup will have to proceed without Camille Cerutti.
The 27-year-old speed specialist announced on "Instagram" that she injured her knee during a training camp in Ushuaia, Argentina. There is suspicion of an ACL tear.
The accident occurred upon landing after a jump; Cerutti did not fall. "Just this feeling that I know so well and that I already had four years ago," reports the Frenchwoman, who has experienced injuries before. She had to overcome a similar injury before the 2022 Olympic Games.
Even more bitter: The Olympic eighth-place finisher of 2026 in Super-G will thus also miss the 2027 World Championships in Crans Montana.
