Ski Couple Relocates to Austria
The two Norwegians, Thea Louise Stjernesund and Timon Haugan, are moving their home to Salzburg.
In February 2026, Thea Louise Stjernesund and Timon Haugan revealed the secret of their love, and now the two Norwegian skiers want to settle in Austria.
As Haugan reveals to the newspaper "Verdens Gang", he plans to live in Salzburg with Stjernesund for the coming years. "We plan to spend the rest of our careers there," Haugan explains.
They don't want to stay in Austria forever, only as long as both are still actively skiing. "We will live in Norway for a long time after skiing, so I think it will be fun if we now spend five or six years in Austria."
Stjernesund: "If we don't like it,..."
"If we want to see more of each other, it makes sense to have a permanent residence in Central Europe," Stjernesund explains. "We just have to try it, and if we don't like it, we'll just go back to Norway."
Haugan has won five World Cup slaloms in his career, secured Olympic bronze in the team event (2022), as well as World Championship silver in the team event (2023) and parallel bronze (2023). Stjernesund's major career highlight came last winter when she skied to silver in the Olympic giant slalom in Cortina d'Ampezzo.
