Double Olympic champion Federica Brignone has successfully recovered from her latest operation.

The Italian reported this on Instagram. Following her serious fall on April 3, 2025, in which she sustained, among other injuries, a tibial plateau fracture, a fibular head fracture, and anterior cruciate ligament injuries in her knee, the plates have now been removed and the area cleaned.

"The operation was successful, the metal parts were removed, the knee is clean, and I'm doing well," the skier reported.

She will now have to walk on crutches for a few days before she can begin physiotherapy again. When the 36-year-old can return to skiing is not yet determined.
