Today, the football world looks eagerly to Monaco: The Champions League league phase draw is taking place! Right in the thick of it is LASK, who are represented on this stage for the first time in their club's history and will learn their opponents for the 2026/27 season on Thursday.

The draw will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, starting at 6:00 PM at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. For the Linz-based club, this means eight matches against different opponents – four at home, four away.

In Austria, Sky will broadcast the Champions League league phase draw live.

The broadcast begins at 5:55 PM on Sky Sport Austria 1. Additionally, the draw can be watched for free via livestream on skysportaustria.at and in the Sky Sport Austria App.

UEFA Also Shows Champions League Draw via Livestream

The UEFA also offers an official livestream of the draw. Football fans can follow the draw for the 2026/27 Champions League league phase on both uefa.com and via the UEFA App.

How the Champions League League Phase Works

In the Champions League, participants are no longer drawn into traditional groups of four. Instead, 36 teams play in a single league phase.

Each club plays eight matches against eight different opponents. The pairings are determined from four pots. For LASK, this means: four home games in Linz and four away games on the big European stage.
