Manuel Feller had to wait a long time to train on snow again – but on Monday, the time had come.

As announced by the ÖSV and Feller himself via social media, the 33-year-old Tyrolean made his first turns of the preparation on the Pitztal Glacier.

Feller followed up in his Insta story: "The first day back in the office."

Surgery and another disc herniation

Feller's season preparation has been anything but ideal so far. The ÖSV star was actually supposed to fly to Chile with his colleagues in September, but a complicated rehabilitation prevented this.

Feller underwent back surgery after the end of the season, only to suffer another disc herniation.

Although he was spared another surgery, a trip to Chile was out of the question due to the severe pain that still bothered the Tyrolean in September.

Feller only wants to continue with enjoyment

Since then, Feller has focused on getting his body back into top shape.

"I want to stay in the sport for another year or two, but the condition is that it has to be fun, and it's only fun if you're not in pain," he announced at the time.
