Bresnik becomes coach of ÖTV talent Schwärzler
The tennis pro finds a new coach; he will start in the qualification round in Vienna on Saturday.
Austria's tennis hope Joel Schwärzler has found a new coach!
As reported by the "Kurier", the 20-year-old from Vorarlberg will work permanently with Günter Bresnik in the future. The successful coach once guided Dominic Thiem to the top of the world.
Only in July, Schwärzler had parted ways with his previous coach Markus Hipfl. For the former junior world number one, Bresnik is no stranger; the two have trained together repeatedly in the past.
Bresnik criticized Schwärzler's training diligence
Interestingly: Only a few days ago, Bresnik had criticized the talent's training efforts on ORF.
"As he himself said, he is not among the hardest workers in training. In the international scene, a talent like that is ruthlessly discarded," explained the 65-year-old.
Now Bresnik is set to further develop Schwärzler's potential. The Vorarlberger will be in action already on Saturday in the qualification for the Erste Bank Open in Vienna.
