For Misolic, the quarter-finals in Florence are the end of the road
The 25-year-old suffers a clear defeat against a local favorite.
Filip Misolic has to concede defeat in the quarter-finals of the ATP Challenger tournament in Florence.
Against the Italian Michele Ribecai (ATP-288.), Misolic loses 2:6, 1:6.
In the first set, Misolic had to concede clear breaks in each of his first three service games, though he could celebrate a small success with a break to 1:3. Ultimately, however, the first set was a clear affair.
The start of the second set also went awry for the Graz native; he immediately gave up his service game again. With the score at 1:4, Ribecai broke again, and with a 0:40 lead in the final game, the Italian secured the win after just 1 hour and 9 minutes.
For Misolic, this marks the end in the round of the best eight, while Sandro Kopp, on the other hand, is still in the tournament and is in the semi-finals.
