Miedler/Oberleitner's Winning Run Ends in Almaty Final
The two Austrians miss out on their second doubles title within a week in Kazakhstan.
Lucas Miedler and Neil Oberleitner suffered their first defeat in a long time on Sunday in the final of the ATP 250 doubles tournament in Almaty.
The Austrian duo, who won the ATP 1000 tournament in Shanghai last week, lost to Yuki Bhambri/Ryan Seggerman (IND/USA) in the final 6:7(3), 7:6(1), 2:10.
Before this final defeat, Miedler/Oberleitner had won eight consecutive matches.
In the live doubles world ranking, Miedler remains at number 19, and Oberleitner is now at number 22 - a career-high for both.
