Red Bull Racing finds successor for Helmut Marko
The Austrian-British racing team successfully poaches talent promoter Gwen Lagrue from Mercedes.
Red Bull Racing has a new talent promoter; following Helmut Marko's departure at the end of last season, Gwen Lagrue will take over this role starting in 2027.
Officially, the 50-year-old will be "Director of the Red Bull Junior Programme," tasked with continuing the successful Red Bull talent factory.
Previously, Lagrue worked for Mercedes, where he notably promoted current Formula 1 drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli. In total, the Frenchman worked for the "Silver Arrows" for about ten years.
He has now been bid farewell by his old employer and was introduced at Red Bull a short time later, where he is set to step into the large footsteps of Helmut Marko.
