Leclerc also unbeatable in second Austin practice
The Ferrari driver sets the fastest lap in the second practice, following his best time in FP1.
Charles Leclerc remains the benchmark in Austin. The Ferrari driver also comes out on top in the second Free Practice for the United States Grand Prix and thus confirms his fastest time from the first session.
On the Circuit of The Americas, the Monegasque relegates Kimi Antonelli in the Mercedes to second place by just 42 thousandths of a second. Max Verstappen finishes third with a gap of 0.189 seconds.
Leclerc, Antonelli and Verstappen share sector best times
It's particularly tight at the top. The sector best times also demonstrate this: While Verstappen sets the fastest time in the first section, Antonelli is unbeatable in the second sector. Leclerc, however, has the edge in the third section of the track.
The question thus remains open as to who will string together the perfect lap in tomorrow's qualifying (23:00 in the LIVE-Ticker).
Lewis Hamilton takes fourth place in the second Ferrari, directly behind him is Mercedes driver George Russell. Liam Lawson finishes sixth, followed by McLaren driver Lando Norris and his teammate Oscar Piastri. Isack Hadjar and Oliver Bearman complete the top ten.
