Criticism of F1 Track in Madrid: "You Can't Overtake Here"

The verdict after the inaugural weekend in Madrid is mixed. While Kimi Antonelli will likely travel home with positive memories, the track has not been well-received by some figures.

The track layout, in particular, has come under fire. "You can't overtake here. It's a shame because it's a new track. Changes should be made for the future," demanded Mercedes driver George Russell.

McLaren team principal Andrea Stella was another figure who spoke out for adjustments to the racetrack after the race: "There's no room for two cars, and the risk in the corners is too great."

Formula 1 is scheduled to race in Madrid until 2035 inclusive. To what extent the organizers will take the criticism to heart remains to be seen.
