Official! Haas announces Esteban Ocon's successor
The American team is facing a driver change next season. A rookie will take over Esteban Ocon's cockpit.
Haas has completed its driver lineup for the 2027 Formula 1 season.
As the American racing team announced on Thursday, Formula 2 frontrunner Rafael Câmara will take over Esteban Ocon's cockpit. The 21-year-old will receive a multi-year contract.
Ocon's departure was officially announced at the end of September (More Info>>>). After 197 starts in Formula 1 to date, the 30-year-old's future is now uncertain.
Leads Formula 2 Championship
With Câmara, a rookie enters the premier class of motorsport. For Invicta Racing, the Brazilian has collected 207 points in the current Formula 2 season and thus leads the overall standings ahead of Red Bull junior Nikola Tsolov (200 points).
Câmara has been part of Ferrari's junior programme for several years – as has his future Haas teammate Oliver Bearman.
