Russia's Return: ÖEHV Regrets Decision, Stands Behind IIHF
The Austrian Ice Hockey Federation, like the world federation, is not pleased with the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Not only the IIHF is disappointed by the CAS ruling on Russia's readmission to Ice Hockey World Championships. The same applies to the ÖEHV, which "regrets" the decision.
"The federation's position is unchanged: The ÖEHV clearly rejects Russia's return," the federation stated.
"The ÖEHV stands behind the IIHF and supports the world federation in examining the next possible steps. The potential impact on Austria's national teams will be analyzed," it further states in a brief statement.
