The 99ers are putting their words into action.

Just under two weeks ago, 99ers President Herbert Jerich threatened to withdraw from Graz due to a sponsor dispute (all info >>>). This step is now indeed becoming a reality.

As the "Kleine Zeitung" first reported, the 99ers are leaving the city of Graz - at least for one home game. This aligns with information from LAOLA1. The match against Pioneers Vorarlberg (November 21) will therefore not take place in Graz-Liebenau, but in Kapfenberg.

The reigning win2day ICE Hockey League champions are thus sending a clear signal to the city of Graz. True to the motto: If you're not welcome in the provincial capital, you'll be welcomed with open arms elsewhere in Styria.

Stadion Graz-Liebenau GmbH, which manages the Merkur Eisstadion, will also lose out on this. The matchday rent of around 4,000 Euros will be forfeited in this case.
