In Bardejov, Slovakia, they recorded a 2:0 win against the Netherlands and a 3:1 win against Italy. The opening match against the hosts was lost 2:5.
Head coach Alexander Bröms was unable to participate in the training camp due to a family tragedy; assistant coaches Sarah Hodges and Mario Bellina took over the team's sporting leadership in his absence.
Dialogue Expected
Also, regarding the ongoing debate about the training, preparation, and playing conditions of the women's national team, which led to a boycott by many players, the ÖEHV hopes for progress based on the past few days.
Accordingly, there were "several extensive discussion rounds between the staff and the players" in Slovakia, "in which the best possible solutions could be discussed jointly and constructively."
The dialogue is to be continued – "at the same time, the federation is working intensively on a detailed and factually substantiated response to all demands," is the promise.
