There is still no solution at VSV!

Even after a meeting on Friday and Saturday, the club still does not have a general manager. Martin Winkler recently resigned (more on this >>>) and the club is also plagued by financial problems, though exact details are not being disclosed.

There isn't much time left – Deadline Day is this coming Thursday, after the league already starts on Friday, because without a general manager, the club is unable to act.

"Without a general manager, no game operations are possible"

"VSV and Chairman Manfred Herzog are urgently looking for a general manager. Without a general manager, game operations are simply not possible. And that's really the only thing that can be said right now. They are now feverishly trying, with the support of the city of Villach, to find a general manager who will take on this situation. And then it's a matter of truly analyzing, evaluating, and then making a decision," Lucca Ventre is quoted by "ORF".

He adds: "As of today, no decision has been made yet. Especially Manfred Herzog has not yet made up his mind. There is also no real candidate who could take over the general management."

Will the Competition Help?

Representatives of the league and team owners have reportedly already approached the club, but Ventre does not expect financial support: "However, here too it is necessary to await discussions – what will the chairman do, what will the general manager do? Structural help is available from the league; Lyle Seitz was in Villach yesterday and offered it, and together, with a new general manager, chairman, and the league, in close exchange, they will simply see what is possible and what is not," he is quoted by the medium.
