Are Rivals Lending a Hand to VSV?
The Villachers face a Herculean task before the season starts, as the club is plagued by financial problems. Help could now be on the way.
Traditional ice hockey club VSV is plagued by enormous difficulties before the start of the new win2day ICE Hockey League season.
Following the resignation of Managing Director Martin Winkler, the termination of several administrative employees, and the revelation of financial bottlenecks, even the start of the season could be in jeopardy.
Support from the Southern Neighbors?
However, help may now be approaching, as reported by "Krone". A crisis meeting is scheduled at VSV, which will also be attended by Lyle Seitz, Director of Hockey Operations for ICE.
According to the report, Seitz could announce at the meeting that the competition is lending a hand to the struggling Carinthians.
Specifically, Pustertal President Erich Falkensteiner, who is also ICE Vice President, and Ljubljana Boss Miha Butara are said to be ready to secure the future of VSV.
