KAC narrowly beaten by Storhamar
The "Red Jackets" had to concede defeat to the Norwegians in the CHL. Tension rose again in the final period, but it wasn't enough for a comeback.
KAC lost 1-2 to Storhamar in Norway on Matchday 3 of the Champions Hockey League.
Despite two penalties in the first and second periods, the Klagenfurt side failed to capitalize on the power play. Isac Skedung put Storhamar ahead in the 7th minute.
In the second period, KAC conceded the 0-2 goal by Stian Kaltrud Nystuen in the 34th minute.
Renewed Tension in the Final Period
However, the Klagenfurt side found their rhythm better in the final period. Raphael Herburger scored to make it 2-1 in the 45th minute.
Shortly thereafter, the Carinthians had to take a penalty through Thomas Hundertpfund – they could no longer equalize.
The "Red Jackets" now have one win after three games. Next, they will face the Kölner Haie in Germany on Saturday.
