Sturm Graz celebrates a deserved victory over LASK
The Graz women can celebrate another victory in their second game and retain the league leadership. Pulins and Sipos shine in the away match in Linz.
Another success for the Sturm women!
SK Sturm Graz celebrates a 2-0 victory over LASK at the start of the second matchday of the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga.
The LASK women and the Graz women engaged in an intense contest at the beginning.
Despite their technical superiority, Sturm created few scoring opportunities. Nevertheless, they managed to score the opening goal before halftime.
Pulins and Sipos lead Sturm to away victory
Brigitta Pulins tapped the ball over the line from close range after a cross from Sipos (45'). Shortly after the break, the Sturm women were also able to extend their lead.
Lilla Sipos then scored herself with a header from a corner kick to make it 2-0 (51'). LASK, however, missed the chance to score a consolation goal.
Consequently, Sturm confidently secured the deserved victory and provisionally defended their lead in the standings.
