England international to face court
The striker has been charged with assault following an incident at a London nightclub.
Ivan Toney is due to appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court in London on September 24.
The striker for Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli was arrested on December 6 last year for an alleged headbutt. Toney was charged last week.
Englishman denies wrongdoing
The World Cup participant denies the allegations, his lawyer explained: "Ivan acknowledges the charge and although he is naturally shocked, he looks forward to the opportunity to clear his name in court."
At the World Cup, the 30-year-old made two brief appearances under Thomas Tuchel.
