The Spanish superstar wants to return home. The decision between heavyweights Real Madrid and Barcelona has now been made.
The two Spanish giants both vied for Manchester City's Rodri, who was voted the best player of the tournament at the World Cup.
As transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports on "X", the Spaniard has now decided against Real Madrid despite their active pursuit and therefore wants to join reigning Spanish champions Barcelona. His agent has confirmed this.
Talks Between Clubs Underway
Furthermore, the player is said to have already agreed terms with the Catalans. As Romano later writes, Barcelona and Man City are already in talks. Rodri still has one year remaining on his contract with the English club.
Barca reportedly initially proposed a transfer fee of just over 45 million euros, but the Citizens would prefer more.
