Several Rejections: Valentino Müller Unstressed Amid Club Search
The former WSG player remains without a club, but the midfielder isn't getting nervous in his search for a new employer.
After five years, the chapter WSG Tirol ended for Valentino Müller (27) this summer.
The Wattens top scorer (ten goals, four assists) from last season allowed his contract to expire. The midfielder has not found a new club since then.
But Müller is taking the situation calmly, as he told the "Kurier": "I'm confident that the right offer will still come."
Already rejected several offers
The 27-year-old has already received several offers in recent weeks. However, they don't seem to have been truly convincing. "My agent and I have rejected several options," Müller explains.
"There were clubs from Austria involved, but also clubs from abroad, some exotic options," he reveals. Among others, GAK is eyeing the ex-WSG captain, who, according to rumors, is said to be interested in a move to Spain or Portugal.
Enjoying private training
While Müller is still waiting for suitable offers, he's keeping fit with private solo training. This is surprisingly enjoyable for the team player: "For the first time in my career, I have the opportunity to set real priorities in individual training."
In regular team training, there simply wouldn't be enough time for that, he says.
The Vorarlberg native is convinced that he will make further progress in his development through individual training. "You can calculate it: in a normal team training session, you might get 50 to 100 touches on the ball; I have 500 to 1,000 touches per session."
