Former Rapid Players Fire Sport-Club to Victory Against League Leaders
In the Regionalliga Ost, Wiener Sport-Club defeated league leaders Marchfeld Donauauen on Friday evening. Two former Rapid players were successful.
On Matchday 12 of the Regionalliga Ost, Wiener Sport-Club defeated Marchfeld Donauauen 2-0.
In the 21st minute, Rene Kriwak scored to make it 1-0 for the Viennese side. The striker was under contract with Rapid II until the summer.
The second half started roughly, with referee Florian Leitner issuing three yellow cards within six minutes. Shortly thereafter, Sport-Club had reason to celebrate again. Eren Keles scored to make it 2-0 for Daniel Seper's team. Keles also played for Rapid until 2018.
With this 2-0 victory, Sport-Club climbed to second place and are now just two points behind Marchfeld, who nevertheless remain league leaders.
