Carsten Jancker is head coach in Austria again!
The ex-pro is apparently returning to his former club.
It had been brewing for some time, and now it appears to be confirmed: Carsten Jancker is taking over again at SK Austria Klagenfurt.
That's according to a report by the "Krone". The German is said to be returning to the Carinthians just one year after his last stint at Austria. He is expected to lead training this Tuesday.
This brings an end to the tenure of the previous head coach, Slobodan Grubor. The 58-year-old took charge of Klagenfurt in January 2026 and must now vacate his position, despite being second in the Regionalliga Süd standings. After ten rounds, they are only three points behind league leaders Velden.
Coach change comes "as a surprise"
"It's surprising for me – we always gave everything. But that's football," Grubor is quoted by the "Krone".
