Italy head coach Roberto Mancini raised eyebrows with his squad selection for the next two Nations League matches.

Among others, the 61-year-old has called up 17-year-old Riccardo Cassano – who has yet to make a single professional appearance.

The talented midfielder is under contract at top-flight club Como 1907, where he plays for the U20s. Now, he suddenly stands on the brink of making his senior international debut.

Alongside Cassano, three other young talents can hope for their debut: 18-year-old Parma player Simone Lontani, Como's Mattia Liberali, and Milan attacker Alphadjo Cisse.

In the UEFA Nations League, Italy still have to face France and Belgium, with Mancini's side currently sitting in third place.
