BVB debutant: Tuchel surprises with England squad

England head coach Thomas Tuchel has named his squad for the final two Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain.

Once again, the 53-year-old raised a few eyebrows with his selection: among those missing from the squad are Chelsea star Cole Palmer, United gem Kobbie Mainoo, and Arsenal's Noni Madueke.

Three debutants included

Meanwhile, BVB midfielder Jobe Bellingham can hope to make his senior debut after receiving his first call-up to the national team, where he could share the pitch with his brother Jude.

Brighton backup goalkeeper Jason Steele, 36, is also included – as he was for the 2026 World Cup. Also making the squad are Real Madrid's Trent Alexander-Arnold as well as youngsters Rio Ngumoha (Liverpool) and Josh King (Fulham), who could both make their debuts for the Three Lions.
