Kosovo's defensive star to miss return leg against Austria
The center-back sustained an injury in the match against Ireland and has already left the Kosovo team camp.
Kosovo will also be without key player and Hoffenheim professional Albian Hajdari for Sunday's return leg against Austria.
As the defender himself announced via "Instagram", he will miss the two upcoming Nations League matches against Israel and the ÖFB team.
Hajdari had already missed the first leg against Ralf Rangnick's side after suffering an injury in Kosovo's first group match against Ireland.
Recovery time still unknown
"Unfortunately, I have to return to Germany to recover. A physical injury is painful in itself, but even worse when you know that the team is fighting for Kosovo," Hajdari wrote in a statement.
How long Hajdari will be sidelined is unclear. It therefore remains questionable whether the defender will be available for TSG Hoffenheim and coach Christian Ilzer in time after the international break. The Sinsheim-based club will face HSV on October 10.
