Kuljic: "Ronaldinho was always my favorite player"

For Sanel Kuljic, the match was also personally special. The former 20-time ÖFB national player was able to play in front of such a crowd again for the first time in many years.

"It was the first time in many years playing in front of so many spectators," says the 48-year-old. He added that the international stars, in particular, had showcased their class.

"Ronaldinho, Wesley Sneijder, Karagounis really showed off their tricks today. Ronaldinho perhaps a little less, he can certainly do more, but of course, it was a highlight for us too."

Kuljic himself became a fan when talking about the Brazilian: "I think Ronaldinho is a household name for everyone, and he was always my favorite player. It was a cool thing."

Kuljic was also impressed by Wesley Sneijder. "You see it already in his ball control. He's still really agile, plays sharp passes. A superb right foot. Hats off."

Maierhofer: "That is very special"

Stefan Maierhofer, who significantly contributed to the 7:7 draw with two goals, was also impressed by the quality of the opponents.

"In the first half, you saw the quality they possess," said the 44-year-old. Many of the players had shaped football for years. "These are world stars from Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Ajax Amsterdam. So, that's real quality."

Sneijder particularly stood out to him. "With his first touch, you immediately see how he controls the ball, the kind of movement he makes. He knows where he wants the ball to go, and it gets there. That is very special."

Hernanes Enjoys "Fantastic" Evening

On Team Ronaldinho's side, Hernanes also enjoyed the evening in Klagenfurt. For the former 27-time Brazilian international, it was already his second visit to Austria.

"It was a good friendly match with friends and legends. It was great to meet Ronaldinho again," says the 41-year-old. The interplay with Ronald de Boer was particularly special for him.

"I watched him play when I was 15."

Hernanes also expressed his enthusiasm for Klagenfurt. "Everything was fantastic. I like the lake and the mountains." He was particularly taken with the playing surface: "The pitch was incredible, simply perfect for playing football."

Hernanes can live with his team giving away the win after a 7:4 lead. "The most important thing in these kinds of matches is that the spectators have fun. I think the 14 goals certainly contributed to that. Of course, we generally always want to win, but it was fitting today."
