Narrow Rapid Defeat in Clash of Fan Friendships
The Hütteldorfers suffer a defeat in the friendly match against the Serie A straggler.
On Saturday afternoon, SK Rapid met FC Venezia in an international friendly match.
The record champion ultimately lost 0:1 to the Serie A bottom club. Lion Lauberbach scored the winning goal for Venezia in the first half. Rapid failed to recover afterwards.
The two clubs and their fan bases have shared a fan friendship for 26 years. Around 1,000 Rapid fans travelled to Venice for this reason. For the match, the Hütteldorfers even designed a special jersey, which features the colours of both clubs.
