Superstar Lionel Messi reportedly set to buy Spanish second-division club

As the Spanish "Marca" reported on Wednesday, the Inter Miami superstar is close to taking over the Spanish club CD Eldense. The club from the province of Alicante has just been promoted to the Spanish second division.
Messi is said to have already reached a fundamental agreement with the club's current owners regarding the acquisition of a majority stake.
For the eight-time World Footballer of the Year, Eldense would be the second club that the 39-year-old acquires within a year. He recently took over UE Cornella, a team from the Catalan Tercera Federacion.
