Kopa Trophy: Former Salzburg Player Among Nominees
The winger is, however, only considered an outsider. The favourite, on the other hand, is a world champion.
Who will snatch the Kopa Trophy 2026 and thus succeed exceptional player Lamine Yamal?
As part of the nominations for the prestigious Ballon d'Or, the candidates for the Kopa Trophy, awarded to the best youngster of the year, have now also been announced.
The list is headed by two world champions and Barca players, Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi. Since the former already triumphed last year and a player can only win the trophy once, the latter is considered the big favourite.
Also nominated are new Real player Yan Diomande, Bayern talent Lennart Karl, Johan Manzambi (Aston Villa), Ibrahim Maza (Leverkusen), Warren Zaire-Emery (PSG), Ayyoub Bouaddi (Manchester City), Junior Eli Kroupi (Bournemouth), and former Salzburg player Kerim Alajbegovic (Juventus Turin).
