Rafael Nadal could soon be a board member of Real Madrid.

As announced by the "Royals" in a statement, the board has decided to put forward the tennis legend as a board member for a vote. The 40-year-old is already an honorary member of Real.

The same "values"

Real wrote: "For Real Madrid and the entire 'Madridismo' community, it is a source of great pride that a personality of such sporting and human stature becomes part of our board and contributes to the present and future of our club in this responsible position."

Real further wrote: "His talent, his tireless will for continuous improvement, his readiness to sacrifice, his competitive spirit, his humility, his respect for opponents and teammates, and his commitment to solidarity make him a role model – both on and off the sports field. All these values are firmly anchored in the identity of Real Madrid."

The 22-time Grand Slam winner himself stated: "I have accepted this proposal with great enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and the desire to contribute as much as possible."
