Real Madrid to miss key player in El Clasico
Thibaut Courtois was still a game-changer against RB Leipzig, now he's out.
In the first "El Clasico" of this season (today, from 9:00 PM in the LIVE ticker), Real Madrid will have to do without their starting goalkeeper.
As the Madrid club announced approximately ten hours before kick-off, Thibaut Courtois is out due to illness. The Belgian has caught the flu.
Lunin Takes Over For The First Time
Thus, Real's number two, Andriy Lunin, will make his first appearance of the season.
The 27-year-old Ukrainian has been under contract with the "Royals" since 2018 and has been in goal for Real 74 times. Besides Courtois, Jose Mourinho will have to do without Rodrygo, Ferland Mendy, and Raul Asencio (all injured). Vinicius Junior remains suspended.
