Atletico Madrid fans welcomed Julian Alvarez with boos in the first home game of the season.

The Argentine forward is pushing for a move to FC Barcelona, but the club management is refusing it.

Instead, according to "Mundo Deportivo", the "Rojiblancos" are reportedly willing to offload the 26-year-old attacker, whose market value is estimated at 120 million Euros by "transfermarkt.at", to Arsenal – a club the Argentinian does not want to join (All info >>>).

When the lineup was announced, Alvarez was mercilessly booed by Atletico fans. The attacking player sat with his head bowed on the substitutes' bench.

Atletico grabs a point shorthanded

Amidst piercing boos, the striker entered the field in the 66th minute, but could not prevent the "Colchoneros'" draw.

Marc Pubill put the hosts ahead after about an hour (59'), but Gerard Moreno immediately equalized (66').

After Robin Le Normand was sent off with a red card (76'), the "Yellow Submarine" even took the lead through Georges Mikautadze from the spot (78'). However, Giuliano Simeone salvaged at least a point for Atletico with a late goal (85').
