Shock in Mali: Former international dies in accident
Kalilou Traoré played, among others, in Croatia and France.
Mourning for former player Kalilou Traoré from Mali.
The 38-year-old died in a traffic accident.
The midfielder ended his career eleven years ago; previously, he played, among others, for Croatian first-division club NK Istra 1961 and for FC Sochaux-Montbéliard in France. Both clubs reported the passing of their former player.
Kalilou made 17 appearances for Mali. He made his last international appearance at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in the third-place play-off, where they defeated Ghana.
