After LASK Exit: Jérôme Boateng in Line for Coaching Job in Turkey

After his contract termination with LASK in August of last year, things went quiet around Jérôme Boateng.
Now he appears to be returning to the big football stage in a new role. Parallel to his active time at LASK, he already gained his first experience as an assistant coach in the Linz youth academy, and now his first coaching position in professional football is likely awaiting him.
According to reports from the Turkish broadcaster "HT Spor", Boateng is signing on as an assistant coach at Trabzonspor. The report states that both sides have already agreed on a collaboration, and the 38-year-old is expected to sign his contract next weekend.
In Trabzon, the German 2014 world champion will become assistant coach to his compatriot Thomas Reis, who was introduced almost a week ago as the successor to Fatih Tekke. He made a dream debut with a 4-0 victory against Galatasaray. At Trabzonspor, two former Liverpool stars, Fabinho and Mohamed Salah, are under contract. Additionally, WAC's record departure Chibuike Nwaiwu is active for the Conference League participant.
