Wanner's Teammate Fails Medical - Is RBS Still Interested?
The Moroccan was linked with Salzburg, and a move to Scotland was considered all but done. However, nothing came of it.
Couhaib Driouech (24) of PSV Eindhoven was recently linked with a move to FC Red Bull Salzburg.
Ultimately, however, the Moroccan and Paul Wanner's teammate was close to a deal with Glasgow Rangers. After the medical check, the Scots called off the deal due to medical concerns, as reported by the "Daily Record".
"The clubs had agreed. I am very surprised. I will listen carefully to him and understand his disappointment very well," PSV coach Peter Bosz is quoted as saying.
Three Years Remaining on Contract
For now, efforts are being made to continue working with him. It is not clear whether Salzburg is still interested. In recent media reports, the Austrians are no longer mentioned.
The 24-year-old still has three years left on his contract and a market value of 7.5 million euros. In the past season, he scored nine goals and provided eight assists in 40 games. The winger won the championship twice with PSV.
