New Club for Austrian Player Metu: Former Bayern Talent Loaned Out
The Austrian will now only play in the second division in Slovakia. He once made appearances in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga.
Emilian Metu (23) was once considered a promising talent in Austrian football. The midfielder made numerous appearances for junior national teams.
In 2021, FC Bayern Munich signed him from SKN St. Pölten. In the 2022/23 season, he was supposed to gain his first Bundesliga experience as a loan player at Austria Klagenfurt, but he only made four appearances.
Move to 2nd Division
He then spent the following seasons in the ADMIRAL 2. Liga with SV Horn. In the summer of 2025, he made the move to the Slovak top flight with FK Kosice. With 20 appearances (two goals and two assists), he was never able to establish himself there long-term.
To gain match practice, he is now moving on loan to the second Slovak league with Inter Bratislava. The loan is initially planned only until the end of the year, and his contract with Kosice runs until June 2027.
