David Alaba: Serie A Club Hotly Tipped
A Serie A club is reportedly interested in the Viennese player. Previous leads to Italy came to nothing.
After the closure of the transfer window in the top leagues, clubs are now left with only the market for free agents.
Among them is ÖFB captain David Alaba (34). The Viennese player has left Real Madrid but has not yet found a new employer in his search. AC Milan, Juventus, and Inter were considered potential destinations. In the end, other defenders joined the aforementioned clubs.
However, one lead now appears to be getting hotter. According to "Il Messaggero", Alaba is Lazio's top candidate for a free agent transfer.
Sporting Director Drops a Hint
This also aligns with the statements made by Sporting Director Angelo Fabiani at a press conference: "The market for unattached players is still open. I preferred to leave some spots free to observe such situations."
Diogo Leite, Marcelo Brozovic, and Mauro Icardi are mentioned as other candidates for a move to Lazio. However, according to the report, Alaba is the capital club's number one desired player.
