Riyad Mahrez boasts an impressive footballing career!

The now 35-year-old Algerian played for both Leicester City and Manchester City in England during his most successful period from 2014 to 2023.

While he became a surprise champion with the "Foxes" in 2016, he won all relevant football titles with the "Sky Blues".

Goal Against Austria

In total, the winger made 284 appearances in the English top flight, scoring 82 goals and assisting 63 others. In 2023, he moved to Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia, where he won the AFC Champions League twice under former Salzburg coach Matthias Jaissle.

He played 119 international matches (40 goals) for his home country and was also part of the last World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. There, he scored twice, including the late 2:3 against the ÖFB squad.

Move to Qatar

Since his contract expired at Al-Ahli, the right winger has been without a club. As Fabrizio Romano now reports, the winger will move to Qatar and sign with Al Shamal SC.

An agreement between all parties is reportedly already in place.
