Arnel Jakupovic has scored in the 1. HNL for the second consecutive game – the Austrian international secures the golden goal for NK Osijek in the 90th minute. They ultimately win 1-0 against NK Lokomotiva Zagreb.
The hosts, who have led the league since the start of the season after victories against HNK Gorica (2:0) and NK Rudes (6:1), created a clear advantage in chances against NK Lokomotiva, who were also still undefeated, but were unable to convert this superiority into goals for a long time.
Jakupovic scores golden goal
Jakupovic, who came on for Jona Jezic in the 64th minute, ultimately decided the match for Osijek in the closing stages. After a corner kick from Domagoj Bukvic, the 28-year-old striker was there to head it in (90th minute).
With the victory, "Bijelo-plav" thus defends its league leadership. Both NK Varazdin and Dinamo Zagreb have six points after two completed games and could still draw level with the white-and-blues.
