Lazio likely wants to offload Salzburg acquisition
The Italians only brought the Serb from Salzburg in winter, but in Rome, they are already thinking about a departure.
Wearing the FC Red Bull Salzburg jersey, Petar Ratkov scored nine goals in 17 matches in autumn 2025.
In Austria, he had already entered the history books. In February 2024, he scored the fastest goal in ADMIRAL Bundesliga history after six seconds against Blau-Weiß Linz.
His strong autumn season in 2025 prompted Lazio Rome to sign the Serb for 13 million euros in winter 2026. His output there is modest; in eight matches, he recorded neither goals nor assists.
Lazio aims to avoid a financial loss
According to journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the club is now ready to part ways with the 22-year-old. Ideally, the striker should find a buyer.
They want to sell the Serb for approximately the same amount of money they transferred to Salzburg. On the other hand, a loan is also an option. Ratkov has a market value of nine million euros.
