Even at 39, Martin Harnik hasn't had enough of football!

The former ÖFB national team player (68 caps) will be hunting for goals for HT 16 from the Oberliga Hamburg. Since the end of his professional career, he has been active as a player and most recently as a player-coach at TuS Dassendorf (also Oberliga Hamburg).

Special Club, Special Relationship

His new club HT16 has a special characteristic: it is the oldest, continuously active gymnastics and sports club in the world. The transfer came about because HT16 President Ahmet Sahin and other club members played together with Harnik in the Hamburg youth selection back in their youth and have been friends ever since.

So far, three matchdays have been completed in the current Oberliga Hamburg season. HT16 is currently in 14th place in the 18-team league with one win and two losses.
