Bayer Leverkusen Extends Contracts with Successful Duo
The "Werkself" is banking on continuity at the management level. With this, the club aims to continue on its chosen path in the coming years.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen is opting for continuity at the executive level.
Last season's sixth-placed team has extended the contracts of Fernando Carro and Simon Rolfes. The club announced this on Saturday.
Carro remains tied to the club as CEO until summer 2029, while Rolfes is under contract as Sporting Managing Director until summer 2031. Both are tasked with further developing Bayer 04 in the coming years. The duo's tenure included, among other achievements, winning the double in 2024 and finishing as vice-champions in the subsequent season.

"The greatest sporting successes in our club's history are as much a result of their work as is the sustainable development of the entire club. Therefore, it was our goal to continue the successful collaboration in this constellation in the coming years," said Werner Wenning, Chairman of the Shareholders' Committee of Bayer 04 Leverkusen Fußball GmbH.
"Both stand for competence, reliability, and continuity – and for the ambition to consistently advance Bayer 04 to the highest level," Wenning added.
