Algerian World Cup Player on Muslic's Schalke Radar
Schalke 04 could still reinforce their attacking core. It would be a loan deal.
FC Schalke 04 could sign another striker this summer.
As "L'Equipe" and "Sky" report, Miron Muslic's club is said to be interested in Mohamed Amoura (26). The Algerian, who only featured in the opening match of the 2026 World Cup, is currently under contract with VfL Wolfsburg.
The attacker has not yet been in the "Wolves'" squad this season due to a thigh injury. However, a move to Schalke would only be feasible via a loan without a purchase option. Additionally, Al-Ittihad and Olympique Marseille are also reportedly interested.
A Sale Would Be Necessary
Due to contract extensions for several key players, the financial resources of the "Royal Blues" are now limited. Even a loan deal for Amoura, where Schalke would have to cover at least part of his salary, would require a sale.
Moussa Sylla is considered the most likely candidate to leave. A transfer for the striker to the MLS already fell through last winter.
