Oluwaseun Adewumi will play in Germany for the first time next season!

Second division club Hertha BSC is loaning the attacking player for one year from FC Burnley. The 21-year-old will wear the number 19 shirt for the capital city club.

Adewumi looks forward to "traditional club" Hertha

"Despite his young age, he has already gained experience in various competitions and can fill several roles and positions in attack," sporting director Benjamin Weber is quoted as saying in the statement.

The new signing himself is also looking forward with anticipation to the upcoming season with Hertha: "I am very much looking forward to playing for a traditional club like Hertha and its fans."

Finally the first summer signing

After Adewumi moved from FAC to Burnley in summer 2024, he was always loaned out: in his first season to Dundee FC and later to Cercle Brugge. In the past season, he scored six goals in 33 matches for the Belgians.

With the Austrian international, Hertha has finally made their first new signing this summer. Until then, "Die Alte Dame" (The Old Lady) was the only professional club in Germany that had not yet made a new signing.
