Coach, Manager & President Gone: Top Club Descends into Chaos
The French top-flight club finds itself without sporting or club leadership after a miserable start to the season.
This has rarely been seen in this form in a top-5 league: Within two days, French top-flight club Le Havre AC loses both its sporting and club leadership.
The start of the season turned into an unmitigated disaster: From the nine rounds played so far, they only collected two points. On the weekend, they suffered a clear 1:5 defeat against league giants PSG.
President Apparently Excluded from Coach Decision
The owners - the American "Blue Crow Sports Group" - drew consequences and dismissed coach Didier Digard. This did not sit well with President Jean-Michel Roussier, over whose head the decision was apparently made. His reaction: resignation.
But it got even worse: As L'Equipe reports, Sporting Director Demba Ba (formerly a prolific scorer at Hoffenheim) has now also resigned.
At least for the 41-year-old, who only joined the club in the summer, there is a successor: His previous assistant Quentin Rauzier will take over his position. There are probably easier tasks than this one.
