Good news for ÖFB prospect Samson Baidoo!

One-time Austrian international Samson Baidoo (22) moved from FC Red Bull Salzburg to Lens in 2025. In his first season, he immediately broke through and won the cup with the club.

The second half of the season was less pleasing, with the Austrian repeatedly sidelined by thigh problems. This has also plagued Baidoo into the new season; so far, he hasn't been able to play in any competitive matches.

However, there is now positive news. As confirmed by Lens, he is available again for Friday's match against Lyon.

Former U21 Captain

He was unable to participate in his last possible international period with the U21s, when the team missed out on European Championship qualification.

Baidoo was still captain of Perchtold's squad in autumn 2025.
