Before the 2022 World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo terminated his contract with Manchester United in November 2022, followed by his move to Al Nassr in January 2023.

Currently, the superstar is attracting attention with his departure from the Portuguese national team after a dispute with coach Jorge Jesus, for which he was mildly punished by the federation.

Already at the end of his time at Manchester United, the superstar had problems with head coach Erik ten Hag, who is now speaking out to "The Athletic".

Ten Hag: "He disappointed me"

The Dutchman says: "He let the team down, and he disappointed me because we had planned with him."

The former United coach criticizes Ronaldo's attitude: "Often I said: 'Ronnie, everyone wants to work for you to put you in the right position, but if you can't get yourself into the penalty area, you can't score a goal.' He wasn't capable of that. He didn't run with or without possession. The reason was that he hadn't prepared himself."

Ten Hag adds: "Every top team has to embrace the best player, but the best player has to work for the team. And United was not the top priority for some."
