"Ridiculous": ManUnited Coach Blasts TV Pundit Fjörtoft
Manchester United completely botched their league opener. Jan Aage Fjörtoft also felt the frustration of the "Red Devils".
Jan Aage Fjörtoft drew the ire of Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick over the weekend.
Following the 0-2 opening defeat for the "Red Devils" against promoted side Hull City, the former Rapid player and current ServusTV pundit incurred the displeasure of the United coach.
The Norwegian (59) was working for "Viaplay" on Saturday as a TV reporter for the post-match interview with Carrick. With a question about a possible "lack of passion" from his team in the first half, the former striker caused anger for his interlocutor.
"Come on, that's ridiculous. You played football. Then you'll understand that's a ridiculous statement. Just because you got beaten doesn't mean you don't care," Carrick snapped at Fjörtoft.
He then slightly backtracked and corrected his question.
